The mist

The Mist is the alchemical state of dissolution and unknowing.

Direction and certainty fade, and control loosens its grip.

This is a call to surrender clarity in favour of intuition. Trust the unseen currents reshaping the soul before new form can arise.

Disposition

You may feel unsure of yourself, even lost. This is not a time for bold moves. Visibility is poor. Feel the ground beneath your feet and wait.

You are between worlds, neither here nor wholly gone. Thoughts mist over feelings, and feelings blur into air. Illusions rise like vapour, and intuitions swim beneath the surface. Do not trust the apparent. The map fades. Only your subtle body can find the way.

INTEGRATION

The Mist is the alchemical state of dissolution — when form softens, direction fades, and the soul drifts between what was and what may be.

You are called to surrender certainty and let the subtle currents of life re-shape you.

The Mist is the womb of mystery, where control dissolves and intuition begins to speak, marking a soul learning to trust the unseen.

Now is the time to rest in ambiguity rather than rush for answers. Though disorienting, this is sacred work: the slow undoing of old structures so that new vision can emerge, gentle and true.

Take time to soften and feel into the subtle currents of the Water element as they course through your body.

  4. …visualise your breath circulating down the front of your body and up the back.

  5. What else moves, subtly and silently?

Your ability to perceive is temporarily impaired, which may seem inopportune but is in fact a call to attend to the subtler energies moving within.
