Like many others, I began using AI to order my thoughts, draft structures and strategies, research and advise on the pros and cons of various tech platforms.
The precursors to Earthsee were Circ Ular, a low ticket, prototype course and online circle for men on Substack, and The Manual, a complete journey through the archetypes of the masculine psyche.
Both were based on The Mesa of Alchemy, an online retreat, and Elemental Wisdom, an online course, from 2024.
ChatGPT was incredibly useful, often exceeding what might be expected from a tool, to be more like a copilot. Indeed, that’s the name of Microsoft’s AI.
There is a tension between the authenticity and depth of real transformational work, and marketing it. Both are necessary, if one is to sustain oneself doing this kind of work.
Natural Wisdom Co’s alchemical system is fundamentally based on four. It marries perfectly with other systems: the Four Elements, Dr Robert Moore’s four archetypes of the masculine psyche, and the Primary Gifts of the Gene Keys.
But with marketing, good things come in threes. There’s a beginning, a middle, and an end. How to marry 4 and 3?
This is seer territory. One locks oneself in the Tower, constructs arcane diagrams and tries to imagine the actual experience for programme participants. Will it work? What could go wrong? What if few places are sold? Might there be a way for people to join midway? Modularise the programme? And, most important of all, how to keep the integrity and sacred container of the programme?
After weeks of thought, the perfect solution presented itself. Rather than having to manually edit the entire curriculum of The Manual (50+ 100% human pages), I was able to upload the whole document into ChatGPT.
If you haven’t caught up with AI yet, uploading a document to ChatGPT is different from uploading it to Google Drive, say. ChatGPT “understands” or at least can parse the document.
It was vastly less painful to restructure the programme from 4 parts into 3 while keeping alchemical integrity. In fact, enhancing the alchemy. How? You’ll have to sign up to its successor programme to find out.
And I could ask the AI to extract lighter weight exercises and processes from The Manual for use in Circ Ular.
It was a buzz. Awesomeness all the way.
